The Altars of Repose, part of the "Staying Up with Jesus" tradition on Holy Thursday, invite the faithful to visit multiple churches to pray before the Blessed Sacrament. This ancient practice encourages reflection, adoration, and a deeper connection with Jesus during His Passion. For guidance, see the Seven Churches Meditation Guide, Explanation, and Google Map.

Blessed palms are sacramentals and should be treated with reverence—they are not to be thrown in the trash. You can:
Decorate: Place them behind a crucifix or religious picture, or craft them into palm crosses or roses.
Burn or Bury: Burn the palms and bury the ashes, or simply bury them, honoring their sacred purpose.
Return to Church: Drop them off in the gathering area or at the parish office for proper disposal.
For more guidance, see Disposal of Religious Items, Blessed Palms in the Home, and 10 Things to Do with Palms from Palm Sunday.

When a solemnity (feast day) occurs on a Friday in Lent, the celebration of the solemnity takes precedence over Lenten fasting and abstinence. Canon 1251 of the Code of Canon Law states that abstinence from meat or other food is lifted for the day. This allows for special meals or celebrations in honor of the feast, such as the Feast of the Annunciation, which commemorates God’s entrance into the world through Jesus and Mary’s “yes” to God’s plan.

Each year, our church is beautifully decorated with spring flowers to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. You can dedicate flowers in honor of, in memory of, or in thanksgiving of someone by filling out an Easter flower envelope and placing it in the offering plate by Palm Sunday. Be sure to write legibly so names can be listed in the bulletin. Online donations are also accepted.
