- St. Patrick Catechetical Institute - Courses
  
  The St. Patrick Catechetical Institute (SPCI) is St. Patrick Parish's faith formation program, offered as part of our RENEW initiative. Courses are offered throughout the year across four pillars — Sacraments, Practicum, Catechesis, and Initiation — and are open to all parishioners, wherever you are on your journey of faith.
Current & Upcoming Courses
- The Promised Land
  
  Beginning the fall of 2026, SPCI continues with its second course — The Promised Land, a seven-session series walking through the sweep of salvation history from creation to the Ascension. Each session pairs a talk with the great figures of Scripture who point us toward Christ.
  Sessions are held in the church every other Thursday beginning September 10. All are welcome — come to one session or the whole series.

  9/24 — The Patriarch (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph)
  10/8 — The Prophet (Moses, the Exodus, the Judges)
  10/22 — The King (David, the Kings, Exile, the Maccabees)
  10/29 — The Messiah (Jesus, the Infancy Narratives)
  11/12 — The Savior (Jesus, Healings, the Paschal Mystery)
  12/10 — The Plan (Jesus, the Ascension, the Commissioning of the Disciples)

Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to register for the course?
  No registration or RSVP is required. You are welcome to simply show up at the church on any of the scheduled session days.
- What if I miss the first session?
  You can still join us! Every session in this series is independent and self-contained. You do not need to have attended previous talks to benefit from the current one.
- Is there a cost to attend?
  There is no cost to participate in the series. It is a free offering from SPCI.
- I'm new (or renewed) to the faith. Am I still welcome?
  Absolutely. Our courses are designed for everyone—whether you are just beginning to explore your faith or have been practicing for decades. We welcome you exactly as you are, no matter where you find yourself on your journey.
- What do I get if I attend every class?
  If you attend all of the classes in a single series, you will receive a certificate of completion. If you present these certificates of completion from each class, you will receive a certification on behalf of St. Patrick Parish recognizing your efforts and capability in effectively and clearly sharing our faith in a catechetical setting.
- How many classes are there? What are they?
  There are a total of 6 classes that occur over the course of two years:

  Spring 1: Heretics and Heroes
  Summer 2: God's Champions
  Fall 2: Glorious Freedom
  Spring 2: To the Heights
